Washing Machine Repair Toronto and the GTA

You probably know what’s wrong with yours. Won’t drain. Won’t spin. Leaks. Walks across the floor. Smells like a swamp. Stops mid-cycle. Whatever’s going on, we handle washing machine repair Toronto-wide. Most of what we see is front-loaders — they break differently than top-loaders, and we know both. Call or text and we’ll book a tech.

Front-Loader Washing Machine Repair Toronto Homeowners Need Most

Most Toronto homes have front-loaders now. They wash better, use less water, and stack with the dryer. They also have more parts that can fail.

The drain pump is the big one. The door boot tears. The drum bearings wear out and start sounding like a jet engine. The control board fries. None of it is the end of the world. Most of these are real fixes, not “buy a new machine” situations.

The Call We Get Most: It Won’t Drain

You open the door and the clothes are still soaking. There’s water sitting in the drum.

Nine times out of ten it’s the drain pump. Either something got into it — a coin, a sock, a bra wire — or the pump motor gave up. Both are fixable. Replacing a drain pump on a front-loader takes about an hour.

Sometimes it’s not the pump. The drain hose can be kinked behind the machine. The filter on the front of the unit gets clogged with lint and gunk. We check the easy stuff first.

What Else Goes Wrong With Washing Machines

Won't spin: Could be the motor, the door latch (front-loaders won't spin if the door isn't locked), the belt, or a control board fault.
Leaking water: Door boot is the usual problem on front-loaders. Could also be the drain hose, the inlet hose, or a cracked tub. We find the source.
Smells bad: Front-loaders are notorious for this. Mildew builds up in the door boot, the detergent drawer, and the drum seal. Sometimes it's a deep clean. Sometimes the boot is cracked and holding water — that one needs replacing.
Shakes hard during spin: Suspension rods are usually shot. So are shock absorbers. Replacing them is a real job but it stops the dance.
Won't start: Door latch, lid switch (top-loaders), control board, or just a tripped breaker. We test before we replace.
Error code on the screen: Most codes mean a specific part failed. We look up the code, test that part, replace if needed.
